Saying of "Mother's".

I need to point out that the generations, in our family were
1. "Mother"
2. "Mam" & Dad.
3. Us two sprogs.
Mother used to say - regularly -
"Fyulls and Bairns shud nivver see a job hawf finish'd."
I'm guessing that may no require translation.
Fortunately there were no "Fyulls" to see this job hawf finished.
