And the winner is ....

Tash was involved in a film project with an old friend of ours, Keith Rodway. The short film called The Cinema was a spooky tale filmed The Electric Palace Cinema in Hastings and had its premiere yesterday at the Regent Street Cinema* in London.

The screening was part of an event hosted by Uxbridge College to showcase their film students. To complete the event they had an award ceremony complete with "Oscar"s. Cassie Drew-Charge, whose project it was, won Best Director and Keith won Best Actor.

This is a picture of (most of) the winning team, left to right, Keith, Hannah, Cassie, Tash, Penny**.

After the filming we retired to the bar next door for celebratory drinks and food and a lot of catch up chat!

All in all a great day!

* Apparently the first theatre in the country to show "moving images" to a paying audience via the Lumière brothers' Cinématographie in 1896. It is also the site of the first photographic studio in Europe opened in 1841.

** Penny is trans-gender - Keith has made an excellent film about her life - here.
