Tuesday 19 June 2012: High & Dry

This is a British/Dutch fishing vessel in dry-dock in Den Oever. British/Dutch because almost half of the Dutch fishing vessels have changed flag to the Red Ensign. It has to do with fish quota. British vessels are allowed to catch more of some fish species than Dutch flagged vessels. The solution is always simple, you change flag, catch them, and land them being a British vessel in Holland.
Of course dry-docking will be done in Holland as well. I can guarantee you, there is not one living British soul on board these vessels.
