Another orchid....

Haven't felt much liking taking photos today and wasn't happy with the ones I did take but couldn't be bothered to do them again....
I tried out my macro lens again but I thought these photos were a bit soft...I used a tripod this time and also the flash to make sure I had enough light but I'm still not happy with them....can anyone give me some pointers on macro shots?
Have just finished all of our usual Sunday housework and had some lunch, made soup for tea and am now relaxing for a bit....hubby is playing Tomaodachi Life on his Nintendo 3DS and I will probably be doing the same in a wee while!
