A bird

Now I know this is not a terribly good photo of a bird and I don't know even whether it is a crow, blackbird or whatever, but I so rarely photograph a bird that I thought I would blip it for a bit of variety and as a change from a squinty building!

Can anyone enlighten me as to this type of bird please? and I know it is not a robin or blue tit!

It was more or less a lovely day, as long as you discount the clouds and rain showers that appeared in the afternoon although, the good old BBC weather folks are promising loads of rain tomorrow, hurrah (not!).
