Wednesday 20 June 2012: Bee

S's mum lives in a traditional English village -- that is, it has an old centre with a church, a school, a pub and a village hall, and a lot of new developments built over the last 50 years, bringing the population to around 2,000. It's a pleasure to walk around on a sunny day, because there are so many carefully tended English cottage gardens, which are full of pretty flowers at this time of year.

I liked the abstract feel of this shot -- no idea what this bush is, but it was very attractive to bees. It doesn't really convey the cottage garden look though, so I've added a spare blip to my blipfolio.
