Big Noise

A nice one today all the same.

Much better than listening to the radio. Or a fire alarm going off for 15 minutes even.

The impressive orchestral sounds wafting over the road from rehearsals for Scotland's launch event of the London 2012 Festival was a good sign that anyone heading along there tomorrow night is in for a treat.

As well as a good drookin' unfortunately.

Despite having had a few pleasant days of sunshine those clouds and the latest weather forecasts look like they're conspiring to put a dampener on the event. It seems even planning an open air concert on midsummer's night in Scotland is very much a hit and miss on hitting a dry spell.

It's a huge coup though for an area of Stirling that in the past has had a less than glowing reputation and I've no doubt it'll be a fantastic evening for those out there with their ponchos, brollies and wellies. Especially so the local kids making a guest appearance with their amazing Big Noise orchestra. That's a BIG stage out there, but I'm sure the roof'll be blown off with the reception they'll get.

I think I'll stay dry and watch it on the BBC though.
