Thistle do nicely

Sorry dreadful pun.
I went for a walk along the Kennet & Avon Canal, it runs alongside a lake so between the canal and the lake I hoping for some water fowl to photograph. No idea where they were all hiding.
There was a lot traffic on the canal at one point it was as though there were convoys in both directions. No good blips though. I did see some lovely dog roses and some thistles. I liked this best, it is about to flower and a spider has been busy at work.
Shame work had to interrupt a good walk.
