Someone Always Spoils It

I was informed on good authority from two seperate sources that today is the longest day and the only day that the sun sets directly behind the Bass Rock.

So 10pm, camera in hand, I walked round the corner to have a look. Unfortunately, Fife ruined it.

As you can see, behind the mass of clouds hanging over fife is what looks like a spectacular sunset. What looks like noise around the sea line around the rock is in fact cloud.

Happy Longest Day! It's only going to get darker from here so make the most of it...
