Costa Rica

We've spent the last 4 days in Costa Rica which we've specifically raced through due to it being more expensive, having a lot of what we've already seen and wanting to meet Alan in Panama. We spent one night in the capital San Jose which for a capital city isn't too bad and also gave us our best nights sleep of the trip so far!

We spent the last 3 days in Puerto viejo a seaside town in the southeast of Costa Rica. Yesterday we got bikes and cycled along the coast to some beautiful abandoned beaches en route to the small village of Manjanilla, in blistering sunshine.

All that remains of the crew now is the two of us and Sam who has being somewhat vacant without his partner in crime Steve! Venetia and Amy left us yesterday but we should see them again in Panama. We found a great little Italian restaurant beside our hostel and have well and truly recuperated from the madness of Nicuragua!!

This morning we left and crossed the border into Panama to head for the island of Bocas del Toro. The border consisted of crossing a very dodgy bridge that looks like it will collapse at any moment and now we're about to hop on another bus and then a boat.
