Our garden visitor

Just as we were about to have dinner this evening this young sparrow hawk swooped in in an attempt to catch a sparrow for his dinner !

After two attempts he gave up and then spent some 10 or 15 minuets preening himself on the garden fence before flying off to try his luck elsewhere
