Fallen Astronaut.

A copy of the small sculpture by Paul Van Hoeydonck, commissioned by the crew of Apollo 15 and placed on the lunar surface by them on August 1st, 1971 as a memorial to those astronauts and cosmonauts lost in the line of duty.

Part of the Futurs exhibition at the Veille Charité, Marseille; including other works by Max Ernst, Yves Klein, Wassily Kandinsky, Henri Matisse, Alexander Calder and other Twentieth Century luminaries.
