The Big Payoff

Through the Summer holidays, we made a deal with the kids that if they continued to keep up with at least some form of education/learning we would reward them with something special.

And so, after proving themselves worthy of the challenge, finally the big payoff arrived a couple of days ago in the form of a new computer for the eldest one. We knew that he would need one anyway for 'big school' so really it was just a way of forcing - encouraging him to keep working, and not go off the boil too much during the long break.

Our ploy worked a treat. We did tell him that it really is just for doing schoolwork on though, and not for games/youtube. So here's a blip of him on his new laptop playing Minecraft.

It's all good though. We've also taught him that sometimes, rules are made to be broken ;)
