Our Balcony View

Last night's stop for a lemon juice in the Islamic market seems to have taken its toll on yours truly, with a night of visits to the bathroom and a desperate struggle to get some sleep and rest this morning. There ain't nothing worse than being ill away from home, and this has been as energy sapping as anything in recent memory.

I've made a determined effort to make some moves to see if it's just a question of tiredness and lack of food, or whether we move our flights out.

My best laid plans have gan' aglay, but mine much less so than those of the Egyptian people to know the name of their new president today. My taxi driver warned me the other day of 'monkey business', and there seems no end of it here this week. I had thought to do a special blip (subject to be determined) and dedicate it to Chaiselongue, today, whose own and her parents life were significantly impacted by the military uprising here in 1952. That will have to wait, I'm afraid!

For those interested in Tahrir Square, I've posted a few more shots in my Blipfolio here.
