Thursday 21 June 2012: Who would have know!
I have driven past this spot, only minutes from where we live, almost every day for the last 14 years and only today discovered this beautiful waterfall. Recently the council made a lay-by and knocked a hole in the wall for a footpath, so today I decided to investigate. It was pouring and wellies were required (blaming this for the quality of the picture - the rain, not the wellies!) but it was rather a nice walk. Coco was very curious and jumped up on the wall for a closer look. I think she was tutting at the discarded sign, graffiti and remains of a fire - never mind this is Central Scotland and our neds do like a nice bit of countryside to consume there carry outs in. Could be worse, they seemed to have taken their empties home. The network of paths we found seems to be a work in progress by the council and hopefully as they continue to make improvements more people will use the paths discouraging anti-social behaviour! Listen to me - turning into my Dad!
