Thursday 21 June 2012: Old Friend
I thought on Tuesday I'd maybe caught the sickness bug that is currently doing the rounds and after working from home yesterday I felt well enough to head back into work today.
However, on the bus journey in I felt a familiar pain in my stomach and suddenly felt really agitated and uncomfortable. If it wasn't for Jack coming in and telling me how great I looked I would have maybe tried to tough it out, I'm glad I listened and headed home when I did. 30 minutes in the door and I was dry heaving which I'm not convinced it any better than actual heaving.
After a few hours of this the pain relented but came back strong this afternoon followed by the lining of my stomach. I experienced a similar pain a few months back and it eventually passed however, FW decided to call for a doctors appointment. Fortunately/ unfortunately due to the doctors strike the surgery is closed for the day. I'll try again tomorrow, for now I'm away back to see my old friend.
There is one chore FW hates more than any other and that's changing the bed, she doesn't mind changing Bob's double bed only ours. I think part of the reason for that is I sleep with nine pillows and it takes forever to change. I've also got a top and bottom pillow that needs to be right or I can't get comfy, weird I know but it makes for one comfy place.
The amount of pillows it purely down to the size of my shoulders or should I say the distance between the edge of my shoulder to the base of my neck. I remember demonstrating this to Wrinkly and her nearly wetting herself as I attempted to place my head on just two pillows.
