Thursday 21 June 2012: Durham mist

Today I set off at the crack of dawn to get to Durham by 8am. Had a swift coffee in the services while trying to get my head round the first session I had to facilitate.
Set up was straight forward but I was all over the place as I knew this week has been monumentally marred by my dashing around and upsetting the usual family rhythms. Simon in particular not happy with my cavalier attitude and to be fair for once he may have a point. Am desperately hoping I find a new more stable job soon!

The course ran well and we finished about 5 ish before driving round Durham to find our flea pit hotel. It has to be said I have stayed in better however Springsteen is playing in Sunderland so hotel rooms are definitely at a premium this Thursday! I'll just have to put up with the non flushing loo and the loo door which doesn't stay shut unless wedged by a chair, not to mention the trains clattering past on the viaduct directly overhead!

L came and joined us for dinner so we ate at a nice restaurant which made up for the crumby room.

Pooped now. Must go to bed. Have spoken to simon and he seems happy with his presentation for tomorrow's job interview. Let's hope all goes well. Fingers crossed.
