Children are the future

Children are precious wherever they live in the world.
These kids live in Cruzeiro, Huambo province in Angola.
Most of them have no birth certificate, their parents are not registered. The none existing people. 
What strikes me most is that the kids lack dreams of the future. What matters is to survive from day to day.
Fagforbundets SOS children village is now expanding our Family Strengthening Program to this area. Micro loans are given to the caretaker, houses are getting roofs, schools are contacted to try to get the kids in the few schools despite the lack of birth certificates and help is given to the families to get the papers in order. 
I hope that next time I visit I will hear the kids dream bigger dreams than to have food tomorrow and the day after.
