I've Got a Ways To Go

This is an exercise from an on-line sketching class that I've been taking for a couple weeks. We were to only paint the areas that did not receive light, and we were to use the local color. Since the instructor painted a teacup I thought I'd try that, but I had to borrow one, and it turned out to be mostly white, with a gold rim and a few blue flowers. Eek. What I learned: drawing teacups is hard, painting white objects is harder. Nonetheless, it was fun to try, and I will be doing more versions of this exercise.
