Thursday 21 June 2012: Disappointment

Today the rain continued.

Today The Man couldn't go to get his bees, it was raining in Edinburgh and it was raining here. There's quite a worry in the UK about the lack of flying days in which bees can gather enough nectar and pollen to enable the hives to survive. The Beekeepers' Association has sent out warnings saying hives may starve if owners don't feed their bees. Honey bees are essential to pollination, they are not the only things which pollinate but the fact that they exist in huge colonies, means the part they play is enormous.

Today was the day I got the email cancelling the show we were due to attend tomorrow, setting up our marquee at a Horse Event. All the shopping was done for catering and all the packing had been done! Such a shame we don't have summer here!
