Purple headed hillside

Today I enjoyed a walk in one of my favourite parts of Scotland - the Cairngorms.  The heather was just about on the turn so i was glad i had caught it before the colour had faded too much.  It was a glorious day for walking and the dogs were happily exhausted at the end of it.
