The Royal Highland Show

I spent a few hours at the Royal Highland Show today. It is always a great event and although the weather forecast was dire, the rain held off for most of the time.

There is no one image that would do it justice ; you would need to have sight of the vast amount of huge and expensive agricultural machinery, a parade round the show ring, a flavour of the immense variety in the food hall , a look into the country clothes stalls (wellies were big sellers today), a glimpse of the trade and other stands , a whiff of cooking burgers - and the cameo would still not be complete for it would have missed out the children's activity area (courtesy of the Royal Highland Educational Trust and a lot of inspired organisations ) , the President's reception, the Scottish Government activity .......and so on.

So this is just the best image I managed to get - some Scottish grown turnips, displayed out by one of the big grocery chains which exhibit as well.
