Thursday 21 June 2012: Adam Stafford
Walked into town to the launch party for the split 7" release for Adam Stafford and Rick Redbeard. What a brilliant gig.
It started with Wounded Knee asking folks to rummage in his bawbag, 'Satisfaction Guaranteed', the bawbag contained, surprise, surprise, ping pong baws, each with a number that would determine what piece of brilliant vocal looping he would perform.
Next up, Rick RedBeard of Phanton Band fame, in his solo guise. Very enjoyable folk with a very Will Oldham feel to it.
And finally Adam Stafford, again lots of very good looping that built up some great tunes and songs. I have been loving his album lately and it was pretty great to see it being performed live.
