Monday 10 November 2008: Night of the Living Dead
Today they opened a 24 hour Asda about 100 meters from my front door. The glowing lights and small groups of Neds stumbling towards it through the freezing night reminded me of zombie Flicks. Instead of "Braiiiiiinnzzzzz" they were shouting "boooooze".
I have mixed feelings about this - hooray, a shop on my doorstep after years of wasteland but it means the tracksuited masses will be stumbling about through all hours of the day...
