Lots of Lolly

After a lovely meal out in Bicester last night with #1 son and his girlfriend (made even better by the fact he was paying!) we headed back up the M40 this morning for a day with them in Stratford Upon Avon. Its a beautiful town and full of olde world charm, particularly in its buildings and setting by the river.

We spent some time watching an outdoor performance of Romeo and Juliet by an American group of actors. It was really quite good and I liked the fact we could just walk away when we had seen enough!

After a lunch of hot roast pork baguettes, the girls headed to a nearby sweetie shop that was full of all the kinds of sweets you can remember from childhood. I loved the smell in the shop and this arrangement of giant lollipops, which I thought would make a nice bright and colourful blip.

Heading out again this evening for another meal in a recently opened restaurant. We have already checked out the menu on line so we already know what we are going to order. Only downside is its my turn to pay!

Having to sit in the car to get a decent signal to post this blip, so commenting is likely to remain limited over the next couple of days.
