A New Day

Sheffield Park

MIL's last day on holiday with us and a lovely sunny day too, so we visited one of our favourite local gardens, Sheffield Park. We used to bring all of our visitors here many moons ago, as it never fails to delight and especially in the autumn. Today was no exception and there was even a queue to get in:-)

We all enjoyed the walk round the park, although it was very hard work for my husband who was pushing the wheelchair again over quite rough paths and up and down hills. Sadly, MIL's vision is no longer good enough for her to drive a motorised scooter, so a pushchair it has to be.

We returned her home safely in the evening, then had to turn round and do the 2 hour drive back to the cottage, so a long day. We have to leave here by 10 am tomorrow, so the cases are now packed, apart from a few odds and ends.

Our holiday is not over, however, as we call in for lunch with some old friends before driving to Essex to stay with our daughter and son in law for the weekend. Looking forward to seeing them and all the work they've had done on their house since we last visited.

May not have much time to blip, so hope to catch up later:-)
