Saturday 23 June 2012: Jack and Jill...

...Well, actually Patch and Ted, went up the hill.

I have had a trip out today to see a friend and ex work colleague and her two rescue dogs. We had a good natter over a lovely cooked lunch and then we went for an afternooon walk. She is very lucky, as within five minutes we were walking down country lanes with wonderful hedgerow, through a woodland area and then out onto the heath. The heath was covered with wild flowers and there were skylarks flying above singing their beautiful song. We even saw a red kite soaring above which was a real treat.

All in all it has been a lovely day, although all that fresh air and fun has left me quite tired so I will catch up with you all tomorrow!

P.s Ted (on the right) cut his paw whilst swimming in the river last week, hence the sock and bootie on his foot as it is now healing.
