Sunday 24 June 2012: When is a weed not a weed?

You see, it's all a matter of persepctive. If my lawn was beautifully manicured grass then a dandelion would be a weed if it grew there. In fact, a beautiful wee pansy would even be deemed a weed in such an environmnet.

My lawn is neither beautifully manicured nor very grassy! For this reason I choose to see this dandelion as a gift of beauty who chose my patch of paradise as home. He is not a weed, he is a welcome visitor.

I may not see things with quite the same perspective come summer but for now he is a most welcome visitor :)
