Saturday 23 June 2012: The Project, Phase VI
I was not satisfied with this corner. Just grass, a Malus apple and a Catalpa which I had to move because I couldn't get the Husqvarna past it. A terrace on the south side of the house we never used.
Phase I: Getting rid of the yews
Phase II: Breaking up the terrace: Point of No Return has been reached
Phase III: Get hold of a few trailerloads of secondhand buxus
Phase IV: Break some sweat removing the sandbed, replacing it with dirt, dig trenches and pland buxus.
After a year's standstill, the project has entered its final stages. I'm building paths with brick and gravel. After that, its planting time for Roses, Nepeta and Lavender!
