Sunday 24 June 2012: Gate to Lake....
.....with the ladies (Eve and Alison were visiting) snoozing in bed, Stig and I ventured forth into the wilds of the Queens Park on our bikes. I'm not saying it was a fast ascent, but his bike is heavy steel and slightly too small for him, and he got stuck into a grade 4 hill with gusto. At the top we shared a slurp of water each and enjoyed the view down the Forth. I loved it and I'm pretty sure he did too.
Later, Nancy joined us for some some pizza in Stockbridge before a spot of grocery shopping. Later later, I had a go at bettering my personal best on the Gate to Lake section of Arthur's Seat, which I duly did.
Now preparing for the school BBQ on Tuesday and watching an even duller game of footie than the France v Spain QF.
