Saturday 23 June 2012: Forging Ahead (183/366)
Proof that humans will turn anything into a competitive sport, here's blacksmithery against the clock at the Royal Highland Show. The forge arena is actually transfixing. The skill, the craftsmanship, the pressure, the heat, and the horses all combining to be quite enthralling.
This will be my entry to the WBC formal theme of "candid", as I'm reckoning this chap was feeling a greater heat than that from my lens when I shot him.
Also: half way through the 366 challenge!
Also also: I took this while taking the three children to the Royal Highland Show without maternal support! I was very brave, but actually the children were very good for me.
