Sunday 24 June 2012: Racing for the line!
After yesterday's sunshine in the Queen's back garden, we were back there today for the Relay and the heavens opened as the youngsters lined up for their relay event. All power to them, no one moaned, some stood in the changeover for some considerable time waiting for 'lost' team mates and all of them got very, very wet. Added to that was the prevalent bracken which was head height in some places and also very wet. So well done all of you.
The blips were poor quality today and at one point I had put the camera away, afraid for its survival! However, I do like this one for the girls' faces, painted in their Squad colours, showing their determination to reach the finish line first.
Well done to Scotland who took home most of the honours from the weekend. Our Squad, Yorkshire, came third. Well done to you too guys, it was a pleasure to spend the weekend in your company.
