Going home: with Orcas

The rowing club and we all left together today after taking the quad out from the beach one last time, because of course, after that storm yesterday it dawned beautiful and flat and they could not resist! Early because of the tides. Then put it back up in the boathouse. More great food and general clean up. We were really fortunate with our opportunities for rowing this weekend and had a great time with this small group. Better than ever I think. (They've been coming up since 1997)

This is on the ferry on the way from the southern gulf islands to Tsawwassen on the mainland. There were orca whales in the straits of Georgia and I just liked the image of this fishing boat while looking north from the ferry.

I confess: I had trouble getting both the boat and the whales in the same frame, so kind of merged this one, blowing, that was taken at the same time. But there is a wee fin from a different whale to the right and farther away if you look in large that was in the same photo with the fishing boat. It's a beautiful part of the world....

AND, I'm delighted to be home in Seattle with my wifi!!! will catch up tomorrow!
