Monday 25 June 2012: Just in Time

I am of a generation that is used to the fact that these birds became extinct. The widespread use of agricultural poison (DDT in Dutch) was responsible for an enormous decrease in the number of frogs. And frogs are on top of the menu of these big birds. Just in time, authorities and farmers woke up out of their poisonous dreams about super harvests and stopped with this particular poison. Soon, the frogs came back and also these majestic birds. Now I even hear people complaining about the numbers of them. I don't care about these complaints, I am glad they're back.
