Koru

I decided to go for another walk through the bush today, this time electing to go for the full loop around Dennistoun rather than just to the bench and back.

Taking the left turn at the large totara,  I eventually passed by some of the impressive tree ferns that line the path. These koru - the unfurling fronds of new growth - were starting to show at the top of the wheki, so I put my X-T1 on my walking monopod to steady myself as I took the shot in the low light of the bush.

Another day in the Garden City beckons tomorrow - here's hoping for fine weather for the commute...
