Autumn Reflections, Temple Pool, Weston Park

A visit to a complainant gave me the opportunity to drop in to Weston Park at lunchtime.  The park is probably near peak autumn colour at the moment.  I made a point of walking along the Shrewsbury Walk to start with and enjoyed watching the fallow bucks lock antlers in the deer park.  The crash of the collisions echoed through the small wood at the western end of the park.

I then headed east to Temple Pool and got this image of the variety of colours along the pool side.  It is probably the best time of day to capture these colours as early and late sunlight is blocked by the bank of trees around the eastern, southern and western sides of the pool.

Technical: A 5 image panoramic stitch, processed using the photo merge facility in Lightroom.  I did push the vibrancy a bit, and lifted the shadow detail for the trees on the right.


In case you have still to update your Lightroom to the latest version of CC/6 released in October 2015, I'd read up about it first.  Lightroom have put out an apology about problems being experienced with the new import engine they introduced with this version.  It is very slow.  You can read more about it here.
