horns of wilmington's cow

Just bobbin' along

Nice walk along the coast from Dowlaw towards St Abbs today. Breezy, a bit chilly, but dry, and some lovely scenery (we've been to Fast Castle here a few times, and know it's a great coastline). The relaxed seal in the crystal clear waters edges out the red waxcap fungi in the extra shot that Mel likes.

Saved a life on the way back too. T'was a sheep flip rescue. Saw a 'dead' sheep on the way out, on its back, legs in the air, Mel even commenting that rigor mortis had set in. Coming back a couple of hours later it's still there, only the front leg twitches. Convinced it's the wind, but go and have a closer look anyway, and yep, the stupid animal can't roll itself back over. Took a helluva shove to right it too, and no word of a thank you, just running off very unsteadily. Must have been like that for hours given the mess around it.
