Ready to Cut the Cake

My Dad, poised and ready to cut his birthday cake, celebrating his seventy-seventh birthday. Earlier we had been out for a excellent lunch in the Ship Inn, sitting at one of the tables in the window with a panoramic view out over the river. Quite a lot of bird life in evidence, including a couple of herons, some swans, a cormorant, redshanks and turnstones, but no dolphins today.
