Gigha

Things looking up again - the worst of the weather has cleared off and we've an excellent start to the day sailing down the Sound of Islay between Islay and Jura, ripping along with the tide and hitting 10 knots. Then, goosewinging down wind to the north end of Gigha. Get me, eh? The first landfall for four days. Showers, shave and etc etc. Gorgeous island, community owned and more power to them. A pint of beer! In a bar. And four Glasgow yachties whose entire conversation revolved around Rangers fitba club. Back aboard for the obligatory Macallan and the start of a book about Pepys. And a chat on the mobby - some folks are being called in to start working shifts; maybe I should stay well away.
