ROBINErithacus rubecula
The gardeners' friend. Often accompaning you as you dig, weed or hoe, just waiting for an easy meal.
We have had two pair of Robins breeding in our garden this year, which is somewhat unusual because they are so territorial, and have been known to fight to the death, however, they are at opposite ends of the garden and seldom come together. We get hours of pleasure watching them all year round.
