Tuesday 26 June 2012: Brown Shrike

I was down at the park again today.. I am still chasing that elusive swallow picture. I am getting closer with more practice. I just hope summer (and with it the swallows) doesn't disappear before I get it.

While I was there I was fascinated by this shrike. It went from one side to the other feeding. A couple of times, it even tried to get dragonflies as they flew around. They are such cute birds but real assassins when it comes to food.
