A bad hair day

My eldest grandson is staying with me over half term and this afternoon we visited a friend of mine who is the local hedgehog rescuer. This little chap weighs just 200 grams and has lost his mum. There is no way that he will make up enough weight (700 grams) before the winter so he will stay with my friend and hibernate in his straw filled box until the spring when he will be returned to the wild.
