and beyond

Freebie shows of Red Arrows are all well and good but this was still the main attraction, noticeably higher on the bill than last time and noticeably further away from the crowd than last year. I walked in with Amos on my back and was fortunately still half a mile away when the very-probably-louder and much more showy-offy Typhoon was poncing about trying to make itself look modern and relevant, despite being first mooted only thirty years after this, which was only designed twelve years after the Lancaster. I though this would be the last time this would be seen but I caught it going much more quietly over Dalkeith in October. This would have been the last time the full rumble will be heard live.
