Tuesday 26 June 2012: Botanical Garden's Suspension Bridge
The Bellevue Botanical Gardens have a newly constructed suspension bridge that takes you out and over an area they call The Ravine. It's billed as taking you into the "wilds" if that is possible in the middle of the city! But surrounding this bridge on all areas it is incredibly lush and does give one the feeling of exploring far into old growth forest. If only for a temporary and fleeting moment...one can experience a quietude now largely missing in urban areas. It is like a mini rain forest to cross over this bridge....I shall return and take some ravine shots....the rains soaked me all too quickly today! And so much for a forecast of clearing up --ha ha.
Free baseball tickets given to us for tonight's ball game--woo hoo..fun even if our team does stink!
