Tuesday 30 June 2009: Room with a View (just)!
Took Mum to the airport late yesterday afternoon for her flight back to the UK and headed north to Connecticut - road accidents along the way and nightmare traffic meant that I did not arrive until after dark (and the place was a nightmare to find - no GPS then) - checked in to Marnicks in Straford CT - not QUITE what I was expecting from reading the "blurb" but the room was lovely and, in the morning, this was the view I had (not exactly unobstructed as quoted!) ....... before breakfast had a wander along the deserted beach - I think this is on the Long Island Sound.
Today I am heading back south and staying in New Castle, Delaware .....
