Oceanides or sea nymphs?

This is a very special place, these are white carrara marble sculptures probably sculpted by Orazio Andreoni in the early 19th Century

They were owned by a very famous Victorian swindler called Witaker Wright who was a bit of a rogue as you will see here

I have watched these items being carefully cleaned and returned to the scupture as it had laid dormant and overgrown for the last 50 years

I love it and the amazing thing is that we are not in Italy but next to the River Thames in Twickenham!
