Wednesday 27 June 2012: Busy buzzy bee...

852/365: ... a shot that will irritate me just about forever, I think! I don't know how those clever souls who get a shot of a bee landing on the flower and both the bee and the flower in focus do it. I can't manage it!

Ah well...

More importantly though - I found a poppy field today!!! YES!!!! Now, I know this isn't that important really... but I have wanted to find one for a while. Anyway, sometimes when I'm driving to work I take slightly different routes. In my head that counts as a 'mini adventure' - every day should have one, I think! So... I did a teeny diversion near Chesterfield and as I decided to turn down a track to avoid an annoying driver who's hounding me, I get to the end of the track, go to turn round - and on the other side of the road... a poppy field! YAY!!!!

Obviously I'm going to have to have a think about how best take photos of them because it's not my thing really... but I do love them. There's an intensity to their colour which is just fabulous.

Actually, my day was kinda intense. Maybe spotting the poppies was a sign? Who knows!

Coming home from work the kids were in bickering mode and were falling out about silly stuff - like which chair they sat on or who had what. Now, they're back to being best of friends and outside giggling in the sunshine. Like it never happened! Weird, huh?

PS Work tomorrow and then at a one-day event on Friday...
PPS ... I *can* survive this week...
