Getting to know my town again

For many reasons, I feel I've lost my daily connection with our downtown.

First, of course, is the fact that I haven't walked there on a regular basis since 2008, and the second reason is because it's had a major face-lift in the past year.

It was strange today to walk through the neighborhoods I used to know so well, including every person's name, their children and their pets!  With so much construction, nothing really looks the same anymore.

But it was a beautiful day for a walk with my boyfriend...so that's just what we did!   This is a scene right across the river from the Post Office where I worked for 30 years.
