Derelict Sunday: Powell vs Erfert

There's an interesting story that goes with this (and I don't mean the one about parking on the shoulder of a busy highway and climbing over a low fence to get the shot).  About 10 years ago Walmart bought the Erfert property where this house was originally located to build their new "Supercenter".  So, Powell Structure Movers was enlisted to move the house and barn to Erfert's new land.  It was uprooted, or whatever it is one does to move a house, and put on the trailer.  Then there was a dispute between Powell and Erfert about the price of the move, so it sat on the trailer until groundbreaking was supposed to take place.  Walmart finally had it moved out of the way onto their property just north of the new store and that's where it has been ever since, truck and all. Powell says Erfert owes them for all these years of equipment rental and Erfert says Powell moved the house without his permission.  So, because of the stubbornness of both parties, the house, barn, truck and trailers have all become derelict eyesores on Hwy 287 just north of the city limits.  Actually, the barn is rather picturesque in it's derelict state and I decided to save it to photograph on another Sunday. :-)
Thanks to Freespiral for hosting the challenge again this week!
