Scottish Women's Curling Tour 2015

Twenty four women from Scotland arrived at the Montreal West Curling Club this afternoon to begin their curling tour of Quebec and Ontario. After the opening ceremonies, our team played against the team of Margaret (skip), Jane (vice), Ruth (second) and Susan (lead). We all swept hard during the fun game so earned our dinner afterwards.  

The women will play at two more clubs in Montreal before heading west to Montebello and then into Ontario. They will play 21 games in 24 days. Whew! Good Curling!

Special thanks to the Scottish Women for coming to Canada and to our club in particular, as well as to all the organizers who made it happen - flawlessly.

This event also came with a small blip-world story for me. Several of the women on the tour curl at the same club in Scotland as cate1 - who is a blip friend. Even though we have never met in person, it was such a pleasure to meet her friends. What a small world. :)
